Keeping farms disease-free means putting biosecurity at the heart of the global farming future. It’s a message we have been delivering to the UK industry for over a decade and, in partnership with the World Farmers’ Organisation, a message we are now sending worldwide, with our collaborative documentary.
The WFO represents the vast community of 1.2 million farmers worldwide who are facing enormous pressures including increasing food and production costs, disease spread, climate change and economic challenges to name a few.
“The Future of Food” series is a testament to the power of collaboration and the determination of the farming community to drive change, and Livetec are determined to be a part of that change, with our mission:
reported avian influenza H5N1 outbreaks in 2022/23
avian influenza outbreaks reported globally in last 2-3 years
domestic birds lost to disease or culling in 2022
The World Farmers’ Organisation
Disease is a major threat to the sustainability of the farming industry, adding to the day-to-day concerns of individual farmers.
The World Farmers’ Organisation (WFO) is the biggest independent global farmers’ voice. With the WFO having been created by farmers for farmers and Livetec being built on years of on-farm experience, there is a natural synergy between us.
